Craps History
The game of craps can be traced back to the 12th century where the Crusaders played a similar game called Hazard. Furthermore, Hazard was more complicated than craps, but much of the game is used today. A type of craps can also be traced back to Ancient Egypt, but the game has been forgotten. As time went on, craps moved across the Atlantic and became popular in Mississippi, USA. The game became simpler, so new craps was born.
Craps Rules-SA
Each game has rules to make it easy to play. Below are Online Craps rules:
Come Out Roll
This is the beginning of the online craps game and will decide the next round. In the Come out Phase, players can choose between two bets Pass and Don’t Pass. They are detailed below for South African players.
Point Phase
When you bet on the Place Bets, you are betting on the following numbers being rolled before the 7: 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10.
Don’t Pass Bets
The Don’t Pass bet is like the different part of the Pass Line where the shooter wins on 2 or 3, makes a tie on 12 and loses the bet if 7 or 11 is rolled. Should 4,5,6,8,9,10 be rolled, the shooter launches a point number and when playing the Don’t Pass bet the shooter should roll a seven before rolling his point number for the second time. If the shooter rolls a seven first then the Don’t Pass bet wins and if the point number is rolled first the bet is lost.
Pass Bets
The Pass Bet is the same as the Pass line bet and it is placed after the shooter has created the Come Out roll. Place the pass bet, then the dice are rolled, and the pass bet goes to the point number thrown which becomes the number you as a player is gambling on.
Other Bets
The Field Bet is a side bet that can be made in online craps and pays the winner even money when any of the numbers are thrown: 3, 4, 9, 10 or 11. 2 and 12 the player wins double money and on 5, 6, 7 or 8 the bet is lost.
